Application Analyst



Arcadia Healthcare Solutions is looking for an Applications Analyst to be responsible for service request investigation and resolution, providing input for defining user needs and solution-specific testing. The Application Analyst will investigate, analyze, and provide comprehensive solutions for service requests by using applicable monitoring and troubleshooting tools. In this role you will be responsible for thorough documentation related to investigation and issue resolution. 


Position requires the ability to prioritize and manage work queue, providing troubleshooting support and knowledge transfer to both internal and external customers, maintaining awareness of current application functionality and its relationship to application specific database tables. Adherence to customer access, quality standards, and customer notification policies and procedures is focus and primary function of role. Role requires individual to be accountable for communicating and working with the customer and internal Arcadia resources to resolve key issues. Some daily responsibilities are as follows:

  • Review Business and Functional requirements and give feedback on gaps identified
  • Develop a detailed understanding of customer business processes and the Arcadia product suite
  • Participate in status meetings
  • Troubleshooting, researching, and solving customer software and system problems
  • Acting as the primary contact for customers and taking ownership of these accounts application support needs
  • Processing requests for software enhancements and system modifications
  • Corresponding with customers over the phone and through letters, fax and email and our issue tracking system
  • Providing customer education, both internally at Arcadia and at customer sites
  • Working on a variety of group projects
  • Mentoring co-workers


  • Proven ability to formulate and implement effective test strategies
  • Strong grasp of defect tracking and reporting tools and techniques
  • Experience with SQL and/or similar programming language
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and meet stated quality objectives
  • Possess decision making skills and ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Travel – 0% - 10% (travel is not expected but could occur occasionally)

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent with 2 to 4 years work experience as an applications analyst with exposure to clinical EHR applications
