Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

Overview

This position reports to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis and has responsibilities to enable the FP&A function to provide  timely and value added financial support to all business leaders and functions; to analyze, interpret, and communicate relevant financial and business trends, providing sound recommendations to senior management to drive business performance, including the identification of potential risks and opportunities. This job works closely with the CFO and other Senior leadership  in preparing business presentations for the Board of Directors, management team and other external stakeholders, and is involved in  analyzing, reviewing and interpreting relevant financial, performance and comparative data. The Financial Analyst, FP&A will drive continuous process improvement in operational planning, forecasting and financial analysis across the company, including annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts and bi-weekly revenue forecast updates.

Responsibilities

  • Provide business analytics and financial support on internal operations and strategic initiatives
  • Analyze results and prepare forecasts, budgets, and bi-weekly revenue updates
  • Prepare executive level financial reports and updates
  • Provide monthly financial reporting and analytics
  • Oversee the development and production of key performance indicators
  • Manage the financial forecasting and revenue recognition process
  • Manage and oversee financial systems
  • Leads the development of systematic approaches to more efficient and effective data utilization across all lines of business
  • Manage the data input and analysis of the financial model
  • Bonus and Commission calculations and reporting
  • CFO in ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives

Qualifications

  • 1 - 3 years of finance experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to present financial data clearly and precisely to senior management
  • Strong working knowledge of financial systems and the ability to extract/apply information for business advantage
  • Experience coordinating activities and projects across functional lines
  • Ability to work independently and solve complex problems
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to complete responsibilities with little supervision; yet work well in team oriented culture
  • Experience with NetSuite and Adaptive preferred but not mandatory

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
